If all goes according to the wishes of the West Hawaii Fisheries Council, (Kona) they will recommend that the state ban spearing off of the entire Kona coast. Thismeans from Opolu Point to South Point and out to 100 fathoms.....FOREVER....and the council will claim that this is what the Kona community wants.

Willie Mahin a.k.a the Haole Crab has been diving for years. He is well known on the Freedive List and frequently manages great catches. Mr. Mahin does his fair share of blue water and reef hunting and recently off of the island of Maui he has managed to land a new state record red uhu(parrotfish).
